Vancouver, WA April 3, 2024 — Longtime Stevenson resident and active community volunteer, Mary Repar, joins the Advisory Council for the Area Agency on Aging & Disabilities of Southwest Washington (AAADSW).

“We are honored to have Mary join the Advisory Council,” said Mike Reardon, executive director of AAADSW.  “She has a passion for helping older adults in her community stay safe, secure and in their own homes as long as it is appropriate.”

“My focus is making services available to older adults to help them remain independent and healthy in our rural communities,” said Mary. “It’s so important to keep and enhance our programs, like senior nutrition, to keep our seniors healthy and happy.”

She is now retired, but in her professional career, Mary was a geophysicist and before that, she worked as an Intelligence Officer for the U.S. Air Force Reserves. She has also worked as a caregiver. She is an active volunteer in the county, including the Homeless Housing Council and Healthy Skamania boards (appointed by the Skamania County Commissioners), Lions Club Secretary, Grange Master for Stevenson Grange #121, and she was a past president of the Washington State Association of Boundary Review boards. She has lived in Skamania County since 1990.
